An Unforgettable Course from a Legendary Champion
A throwback to some of the great golf courses designed in the early 1900s, Tom Weiskopf created an Arizona masterpiece at Seven Canyons in the middle of Sedona’s dramatic red rocks.
The PAR-70 course measures just short of 7,000 yards from the championship tees—not long by modern standards—and harkens back to the renowned courses of yesteryear such as Pine Valley, Shinnecock Hills and San Francisco Golf Club.
World-class design. Incomparable landscape.
Weiskopf was challenged by a parcel of land thought by some to be too small for a truly great championship layout.
He designed without any working drawings and incorporated a “core golf” concept that minimizes buildings adjacent to the course.
Seven Canyons puts a premium on exceptional shot-making with small greens, narrow landing areas, classic-style bunkering, natural water features and constant changes in elevation.
For golf purists, the best news of all is that the course is very walkable.
