Water Play, Hill Country Style
Splash, swim and float away in the four-acre water playground at the San Antonio Texas resort hotel.
Created for water sprites of all ages, the specially designed waterpark features a 950-foot Ramblin´ River® for floating, two swimming pools separated by a cascading waterfall and two outdoor spas.
Cool off from the Texas Hill Country sun in the sparkling swimming pools at the San Antonio Resort. Join a game of water volleyball or soak up rays as you float down the lazy river.
River tubes, water volleyballs and basketballs are available at the swimming pools at the San Antonio hotel resort.

Float Along Our Hill Country Lazy River
After picking up an inner tube, Ramblin´ River® floaters ease past the sandy beach into the floating waterway.
Along the journey, the gentle current allows floaters to enjoy the lushly-landscaped scenery at the San Antonio TX resort.
After an optional detour into the activity pool, floaters exit the Ramblin´ River® at the sundeck, the perfect place for sunbathing.

Camp Hyatt
At Rowdy´s Camp Hyatt, kids explore the scenery and culture of San Antonio, Texas and the Wild West.
Head out to the nature trail and search for real Indian arrowheads, listen to a cowboy storyteller, build sandcastles on the manmade beach, or splash in the river pool at the Texas family vacation resort.

Bicycling on the grounds
Go for a spin on our nature trail and view the beauty of the Texas countryside. 
Several types and sizes of bicycles for THE guests of all ages are offered,  to enjoy, as well as a good supply of helmets.

Nature and Wildlife on Property
A fascinating variety of interesting plants and wildlife can be spotted all around the grounds of the resort.
Look for some of the more unusual trees and plants, labeled for your information, in the courtyard area, off Aunt Mary´s Porch and along the Ramblin´ River. Take a walk on the Nature trail to explore the flora and fauna surrounding the resort. 
Here are just a few of the native trees, shrubs and plants that add color and beauty to the courtyard gardens.

Jogging trails
The 300 acres that make up the delightful resort offer a wonderful nature trail, ideal for running or walking. 
The trail is clearly marked, and offers several stretching stops for runners along the way.
For those of you who prefer a more leisurely stroll, this trail is perfect for a nature walk. You might see some of the more than 100-species of birds that call the Hill Country home throughout the year. Bring along your birding book!
The nature trail is .9 miles, half paved, half mulch.
A long running trail is located on the outer-edge of the resort, that is 3.5 miles. 
The trail begins at the entrance of the resort, and loops around Westover Hills, Hunt Dr., and Military Dr.

Hill Country Playground

A great place for the kids to burn off some energy, the playground features a slide and lots of places to climb.
Nearby, you´ll find a sand volleyball pit and badminton ready for play!
And for moms and dads, we’ve got plenty of shady benches for you to sit back and watch your kids in action.

Whether you need to ace every serve or prefer a carefree game just for fun, you’ll want to take advantage of the tennis facilities.
A hard surface tennis court which can be reserved to meet your schedule, is offered.

Five-Acre Water Playground
Come and hang ten at Hill Country! Grab your rash guard and puka beads, surfers, snowboarders and skateboarders will enjoy a ride on the Hill Country FlowRider ® wave machine, where 40,000 gallons of recycled water driven up at a rate of 18,000 gallons per minute ensure a ride you won’t forget!
We may not have the only wave machine in the state, but we’re the only resort or waterpark where you can actually stand and surf.
If you’re the fast and furious type, take a trip down the 22’ tower slide, which may be the quickest 10 seconds of your life! 
Or just sit back and watch the action at the new Vince’s Watering Hole, where you can grab a gourmet Haute Dawg and Texas-brewed beer.

Interpretive Center
Visit the Interpretive Center, located across from the Front Desk and Concierge Services.
The Interpretive Center is a multi-media interactive area where guests can discover the vast array of amenities available at the resort, as well as popular local attractions like SeaWorld, Natural Bridge Caverns, and San Antonio and the Texas Hill Country.
The center itself is a mini-attraction with a unique wilderness appearance, cool Texas springs, and rough cavern interior where guests can discover many hidden treasures
